In response to World Blood Donor Day on June 14th each year, CHC Healthcare Group, in collaboration with the CHC Charity Foundation, jointly organized the public blood donation event. Since 2021, we have initiated this blood donation event, and this year marks the third consecutive year of its occurrence. CHC Healthcare Group in line with its commitment to sustainability, called on colleagues to roll up their sleeves and donate blood and also invited surrounding companies to join the events. The blood donation event took place on May 8th, and despite unfavorable weather conditions, there were still over 260 people participated. We successfully collected nearly 350 bags of heartfelt blood, contributing to the blood bank’s efforts to maintain a sufficient blood supply for clinical uses.
CHC Healthcare Group’s Vice Chairman and the Charity Foundation’s CEO, Dr. Peter Lee, stated that blood donation is a meaningful activity for the group. This year’s event was organized in collaboration with various new enterprises, providing two blood donation locations. The goal was to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and encourage more people to donate. Mr. Lee also expressed gratitude for the response from surrounding enterprises. When they heard about the blood donation event, everyone enthusiastically participated, resulting in a larger scale than the previous year. We hope to collaborate with more neighboring enterprises in the future, expanding the philanthropic efforts and fulfilling our corporate social responsibilities to create a positive cycle in our community.
We want to express our gratitude to our co-organizers, New Enterprises, BMW Taipei Long-Der Motors Co., Ltd., Fukang Vitality Pharmaceuticals for their continued support. We are also grateful to Creation Food Co., Ltd. and the “Warehouse” Café for provided generous gifts to blood donors this year. The CHC Charity Foundation also offered delicious meal to thank donors for their support. We want to thanks all surrounding corporate units including Shin Kong Security, Flytech Technology, Fortune Information Systems, Nan-Neihu Branch of Hua Nan Commercial Bank, and Wende Club, as well as the third squad of Taipei City Fire Department, and local vigilantes for setting up booths to promote traffic safety awareness and fraud prevention knowledge, reminding the public to prioritize safety and security while donating blood.
Regular blood donation can promote metabolism and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Blood donation not only aids others but help with self-assessment of health status, facilitating the early detection of health concerns.
